Electroacoustic Composition
"Traverse: for Recorder and Electronics"(2024)
An eight-minute electroacoustic composition for acoustic recorders and electronics. All sounds are created through live improvisational melodies performed by myself on soprano and alto recorders, then processed using a range of Csound plugins, including custom-made Cabbage plugins I developed for the piece.
Performed with Dr. Richard Boulanger at the International Csound Conference in Vienna, Austria in September, 2024, and the 50th International Computer Music Conference in June, 2025.
Composition for Multimedia
"Voices"
A sound collage composition exploring themes of cultural diversity. The piece features recordings of people from various cultural backgrounds asking if we have a voice in this world, alongside words of positive affirmations in their native languages. The languages featured in the composition include Indonesian, German, French, Vietnamese and Cantonese. The piece also incorporates processed sounds of subways and undergrounds from the home countries of the interviewees.
The composition is created for and featured in Nona Hendryx's Dream Machine Experience in Lincoln Center, New York.
